“Beauty can be seen in all things…seeing and composing the beauty is what separates the snapshot from the photograph.” – Matt Hardy
LaTasha Woods discovered her passion for photography at a young age but did not begin her transition from weekend-hobbyist to professional photographer until 2010. She enjoys capturing life's little moments through her photographs, which are enhanced by her eye for unique conceptual images and ideas. She is a self-taught photographer, constantly growing and learning, and always adding new and exciting skills to her repertoire. LaTasha is well-versed in many facets of photography but most enjoys on-location photo shoots which gives her the opportunity to capture people in very universal human moments and record everlasting images of time and places. With an artistic eye for composition and a perfectionists’ affinity for detail, coupled with her ever-evolving mastery of evoking emotion and energy from her subjects, photography has helped LaTasha connect with the things she loves most in life: nature, people, history and architecture. She hopes her photography inspires others with the joy she has experienced in interacting with nature, the world, and the people who inhabit it. As she continues to experiment with new techniques and subject matter, she aspires to perfect her craft, allowing her to continue creating a vivid visualization of a time and a place, but also bringing the uniqueness of the photographs subjects and culture to life.
LaTasha lives and works in Upstate South Carolina with her husband, Kevin, their children, and their many pets. On top of her passion for photography, LaTasha also has degrees in Public Service and Business Administration.
“Photography is more than a medium for factual communication of ideas. It is a creative art.” – Ansel Adams
